Delaware School for the Deaf follows the Christina School District curriculum as well as the district’s requirements for graduation and provides course offerings that are the same as or very similar to Christiana High School, one of the local high schools in the district.
DSD uses a bilingual approach with classes in American Sign Language to prepare students for their post-secondary life.
ATHLETICS The Delaware School for the Deaf has a total of six sports teams; Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ Volleyball, Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball, Girls’ and Boys’ Track.
The DSD mascot is the Blue Hawk and the school’s colors are royal blue and white.
