JA of Delaware focuses on increasing Economic Mobility of young people through relevant content, engaging experiences, and structured interactions with successful adult role models.

Pathways Partnership

Junior Achievement partnerships are customized to each Employer, District and School and may include Middle Grades Introductory CTE/WBL experiences, Middle or High School Student-Run Enterprises, High School Semester-Length Courses, Career Fairs, Job Shadows and Employability Skill Internships. Age/grade appropriate Career Readiness content and experiences are available for K-12 and up to age 25, providing a seamless continuum for Employers seeking to influence and develop their talent pipeline. Featured Learning Experiences include:

JA Principal For A Day offers businesspeople and other employers the opportunity to introduce their businesses and their careers to High School students who are considering or enrolled in a related Delaware Pathways career program of study. Includes opportunities to continue JA structured interactions with a mutually selected sub-cohort of students.

JA Pathway to Your Dreams is a student-centric experience developed with significant local Student Voice to focus young people on attainable aspirations and career pursuits that can bring those aspirations to fruition. Through inviting learning environments, engaging technology, intriguing Hot Topics*, and a keepsake artifact, this singular touch point helps students make better informed career Pathway selection decisions and provides School Counselors and CTE Teachers with a meaningful basis for course and Pathway selection conversations. This asset is fully integrated into JA BizTown and JA Finance Park Capstone simulations and JA Career Exploration Fairs occurring at the Wilmington JA Campus.

JA BizTown® provides engaging introduction to CTE and Work-Based Learning for Grades 5 or 6 through twelve required preparatory lessons where students look for and apply for jobs, and a Capstone simulation where they take on those jobs as they become adults for day.

The JA Finance Park® Capstone simulation and twelve required preparatory lessons connect educational attainment to future earnings, making education and employment relevant in terms Grade 7 or 8 students understand and appreciate, while satisfying all Middle Grades Financial Literacy standards.
