Digital Communication Technology

The Digital Communication Technology (DCT) pathway requires students to apply the skills and tools of digital designers used in graphic design, pixel-based imagery manipulation, HTML coding, digital video production, vector image manipulation, digital illustration, and digital publishing. Students utilize strategies to solve open-ended problems while learning how to apply technical skills, creative skills, industry knowledge, documentation techniques, and processes using modern, industry-leading technology and software.

Client-based learning experiences and industry-mentored projects introduce students to a wide array of related careers in public relations, marketing, web and digital communications and printing.

Teacher Academy

The Delaware Teacher Academy program of study is a dynamic opportunity for high school students to explore careers in early childhood, elementary, and secondary education. The program emphasizes the importance of equity, inclusion, and belonging while fostering a strong pipeline of rising education professionals committed to serving diverse student populations. Through a combination of classroom instruction, industry-related credentialing, and hands-on work-based learning experiences, such as field observations, teaching internships, and early college credit opportunities, students develop the knowledge, skills, and cultural competencies essential for today’s education professionals. Whether a student dreams of becoming a teacher, counselor, support services professional, or educational leader, the Teacher Academy offers a strong foundation for success in postsecondary education and beyond—all while making a positive impact in their communities.

Patient Care Assistant

This multi-skilled Patient Care Assistant Pathway Program will provide students with marketable job skills following completion in areas such as acute care hospitals, sub-acute care facilities, long-term care, outpatient laboratories, cardiac rehabilitation centers, and various other medical providers. The benefits of obtaining Patient Care Assistant Certification include more job opportunities, increased pay scale, and increased access to the program resources in the Allied Health Degree Programs. Students will have the opportunity to meet with degree program specific advisors at several points of their training to ensure a smooth transition from the Patient Care Assistant Pathway Program to one of the Allied Health degree programs upon successful completion of program entry requirements.

Culinary & Hospitality Management

The Culinary & Hospitality Management pathway is a three (3) and six (6) course CTE program that is supported by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation. The program prepares students for careers such as Executive chef and Sous Chef, Food Service Manager, Kitchen Manager, and Line Cook.
